One full-size indoor turf field. Twelve taps overlooking it from a 5,500 square foot viewing deck. Leagues five nights a week. We're Katy & Ryan, and we're building it here at home.
We first met in junior high. Went through high school together right here in Northern Colorado. After graduation, life pulled us in completely different directions — Katy moved overseas to play professional soccer, and Ryan headed to California to build his career. For years, we were on opposite sides of the world.
But Colorado has a way of calling people back. Eventually, we both ended up home — and the old banter picked right back up. What started as friendship in the hallways of a Fort Collins junior high turned into something far more.
Katy grew up on the field. She played youth soccer for Arsenal FC, spent countless hours at indoor facilities across Northern Colorado, and those experiences shaped everything — her development as a player, her love for the game, and the friendships that came with it. That foundation carried her to Division I soccer, a professional career overseas, and a coaching position at LSU. She knows what these spaces mean to a young athlete because she lived it.
We both always wanted to give something back to the community that raised us. Northern Colorado is exploding — families are moving in, youth sports programs can't keep up with demand, and the adults who grew up playing here still love the game but don't have a great place to do it.
That's the gap. There's no year-round indoor sports facility paired with a real social gathering place anywhere along the I-25 corridor between Windsor and Loveland. No place where you can play a competitive match and then grab a craft beer with your teammates while your kids run around. No place where the community actually wants to hang out — not just for the sport, but for each other.
The place where people are genuinely excited to be. Whether you're coming to play in a league, watch your kid's first game, catch the big match on the projector, support a local team, have a beer with old friends, or just spend a Tuesday night with your family somewhere that feels alive — we want Turf & Tap to be where you go.
We're building this at home because this is home. And because the community we grew up in deserves a place like this.
